Admission Procedure

Admission of the courses takes place during the month of June, soon after publication of the results of H. S. Examination of W. B. Council, I.S.C. Examination and C.B.S.E., Examination.

Admission Forms were available online. Admission is carried out strictly on the basis of Merit List published by the College Authority. All the admissions were completed in accordance with the University of Calcutta Norms and Government Order.

Documents To Be Submitted At The Time Of Admission

  • Duly filled in Admission Form.
  • Two recent passport size photographs.
  • Proof of Date of Birth (attested copy of Admit Card of Madhyamik or equivalent Examination).
  • Original Certificates are to be produced at the time of admission.
  • Attested copy of mark sheet of Madhyamik or equivalent Examination.
  • Attested copy of mark sheet of Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination.
  • Attested copy of SC/ST Certificate is to be produced at the time of admission.
  • Migration Certificate (in original) for a migrating student.
  • Students getting transferred from other colleges are to produce the original Transfer Certificate.

Admission NOTICE for 2017-18

This is hereby informed that the admission process for 1st year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com (Hons./Gen.) courses of studies for the session 2017-18 will start on and from 31st May (10 A.M), 2017 to 14th June (11.59 P.M), 2017. General Rules for Admission in all Stream 2017-2018

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations (ISC/ CBSE) in 2012 and onwards are eligible to seek admission to the 1st year B.A./B.Sc./ B.Com. courses of studies for the session 2017-2018.

1. Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit.

2. Application forms for admission to the 1st year B.A./B.Sc./ B.Com. courses will be available online from  31st May 2017 to 14th June 2017.

 3. Applicants have to fill up separate form for different subjects or courses. Applicants can pay the application fees Online (using credit card/Debit card/ Net Banking) or Offline (using Bank Challan).

 4. The applicants are required to deposit application fees (Rs. 150/- only in cash) at any of the following branches of Axis Bank on presentation of challan which can be downloaded before filling the form online. Name of the Axis Bank Branches where fees can be deposited till 14.06.2017 during banking hours.

    5. The merit list of all departments will be published on 15/06/2017 in college website (  

    6. The candidates are required to fill up application forms carefully. The college authority will not be responsible for any mistake or anomaly in this regard.

    7. Admission to any course of the college is provisional and subject to approval of the University of Calcutta.

    8. A candidate must have secured pass marks in the subjects/ allied subjects which he/she has applied for.

    9. The aggregate marks will be calculated on the basis of best of four subjects excluding environmental studies.
